About Our Group
The cancer support forum meets the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Cancer Center’s Fireplace Lounge on the main floor of Faxton Campus.
The forum, led by the Cancer Center’s social worker, offers support to anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis. Meetings cover a wide variety of issues including: how to talk with children about mom or dad having cancer, financial concerns, physical issues, intimacy issues and nutrition during treatments, plus many more. The forum provides a comfortable atmosphere for patients and cancer survivors to come together and share useful information. This can be a beneficial way to learn how to deal with various issues including surgery, chemotherapy or radiation, and is a key element in recovery.
