Jack Davis, SHRM-SCP, SPHR is vice president of Human Resources (HR) and chief human resources officer (CHRO) for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
Prior to joining MVHS, Davis was the vice president of Administrative Services/CHRO for Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, New York. He has also held positions as vice president of HR for Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Postdam, New York, director of HR for Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, and associate hospital director/chief operations officer, as well as director of HR at Central State Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Davis has an accomplished background and experience in all HR aspects including benefits and retirement planning, employee relations, labor relations, union negotiations, compliance, performance management, education/training and organizational excellence.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Psychology from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute and a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society for Human Resource Management. He received his Just Culture certification from Outcome Engenuity and his Management Coaching certification from the Center for Management and Organizational Effectiveness. He also attended the Disney Institute’s Organizational Excellence Program.
