UTICA, N.Y. – The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is hosting two informational sessions about the new downtown integrated health campus on Thursday, December 7, 2017. The two sessions will be held in the Grande Ballroom at the Radisson Hotel-Utica Centre: 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Because seating is limited MVHS officials recommend registering at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 315-624-5608.
The events will provide community members with a project update. Robert Scholefield, executive vice president/COO for MVHS, and Kim Way, principal at the project’s architectural firm, NBBJ, will review the newly-announced site plan for the downtown hospital and go over additional details about the project.
Following the presentation, attendees will be invited to visit informational kiosks hosted by members of the architectural firm NBBJ, MVHS and O'Brien & Gere (OBG), the company that is responsible for the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process. The kiosks will allow participants to ask questions and receive more detailed information, based where their interests lie. Kiosk topics are: healthcare improvements, patient and visitor experience, design qualities and character, neighborhood connectivity and the SEQR process.
“This new health campus is an exciting opportunity for our region and we want the community to be involved and knowledgeable about the project,” said Scott H. Perra, FACHE, president/CEO of MVHS. “The forum is designed to provide more detailed information, ask questions and receive accurate information from the people working directly on the project.”
The Radisson was selected because it allows for a large group presentation and breakout groups. Should the event exceed capacity, additional meetings will be scheduled. For those who are unable to attend, the presentation has been posted on mvhealthsystem.org/new-beginning, and questions or comments may be submitted to email@example.com.
