UTICA, NY - The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Cancer Program received a three-year certificate of accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).
CoC accreditation is the trademark of excellence and awarded to cancer care programs that have made a commitment to providing high quality, comprehensive, multidisciplinary, patient-centered care as demonstrated through compliance with the CoC accreditation standards.
"The MVHS Cancer Program is excited to achieve another three-year accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer," said Nancy Butcher, MBA, executive director of Cancer Services. "Our program includes outpatient radiation therapy and infusion, clinical trials, education and support to better serve our community. We have an excellent team that guides our patients and their families through what can be a very difficult experience."
