Mohawk Valley Health System to Host Free Community Heart and Stroke Expo at Herkimer County Community College

Free Health Screenings Provided

UTICA, NY – On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will host a FREE community education event at Herkimer County Community College in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Attendees will learn about the comprehensive, state-of-the-art cardiac and stroke programs available at MVHS and have the opportunity to talk with experts in cardiac and stroke care. Healthcare professionals will lead demonstrations on hands-only CPR and give tips how to stay healthy, how to identify a heart attack or stroke and what to do in the event of a cardiac or stroke emergency.

FREE Health Screening
Attendees will have the opportunity to assess their overall health and their risk for a heart attack or stroke.

Demonstrations by Local Healthcare Professionals
Local healthcare professionals will provide interactive demonstrations of cutting-edge surgical procedures and share information about the latest in heart disease and stroke prevention. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with physicians who provide technologically advanced, patient-centered heart and stroke care in the Mohawk Valley.

Presentations and Panel Discussion
The evening will conclude with presentations by physicians specializing in heart and stroke care followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.

Adult refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
