The Central New York Diabetes Education program, in collaboration with area providers, the MVHS Medical Group and local restaurants, has launched the Healthy Options program.
The program provides a special menu at local restaurants that contains meal choices for individuals who want to eat out but are conscious of their calorie and carbohydrate intake. Each item on the menu is less than 700 calories and 45 grams of carbohydrates.
Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse is the first restaurant to offer a Healthy Options menu and Piggy Pat's BBQ will soon follow. Stay tuned for updates.
