My name is Shelby and I started working at Faxton St. Lukes Dental in June 2015. I was born and raised locally and am a graduate of Utica College. In my free time I enjoy gardening, cooking, fishing, and spending time with my family and pets. I love the wide variety of patients we see every day and that there is never a dull moment in our office. I am proud to be part of such a tight-knit team and enjoy coming to work!
My name is Rebecca "Becki". I attended Coastal Bend Community College in south Texas where I received my Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 1996. Prior to that I spent 5 years in the US Navy as a Dental Technician and attended the Naval School of Dental Assisting and Technology in San Diego, Ca.
Currently, I have worked at the Faxton St. Luke’s Dental Health Center since 2002. Our team is fun, energetic and always willing to give a helping hand when needed.
On a personal note, I'm a proud mom of a 22 year old son Mason and an 8 year old German Shepherd Murphy. I enjoy playing volleyball, kickball, billiards and taking motorcycle rides through the Adirondack Mountain area.
Hi my name is Amanda and I’m a dental hygienist for Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare. I graduated from SUNY Canton School of Dental Hygiene in 2014 and grew up in Massena, NY. I decided to stay in this area after graduation because my Fianceé and I enjoy it here. I’m happy to say that I found a job that I thoroughly enjoy coming to everyday.
I look forward to summer and being outdoors. My dog Youkilis loves to swim (although he’s not very good at it) so we spend a lot of time looking for new places to take him. Thanks for reading a little bit about me and I look forward to meeting you!
Certified Dental Assistants
My name is Carol and I am a DANB Certified, NYS Licensed Dental Assistant. I have been an assistant since 1977. Prior to coming to the Dental Health Center in 2000 I worked in a private practice. I love working alongside of the residents, but more importantly, learning with and from them. I attend continuing ed courses to try to keep current in our field of dentistry and I enjoy sharing knowledge with our attendings.
I do not sit for long, so my outside interests are walking, gardening, needlework or volunteering my time. My family is an important part of my life so I try to spend as much time with them as I can. I am always looking forward to the new program year and new adventures!
My name is Jessica and I am a DANB certified, New York State licensed Dental Assistant. I started out gaining knowledge about the dental field through a local BOCES program to get certified and then went to Monroe Community College for license. I have been a dental assistant since 2002. I worked in private offices until coming to the Dental Health Center in 2013. I enjoy working with multiple dentists and learning something new every day.
I was born and raised in Kentucky and made my way to New York State in 2000. I have 2 beautiful children, Sidney and Aiden. I also have a small, 4.5 lb dog named Farrah, who is actually more of a baby to me than a dog. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with them going for walks or camping. I love to travel and allow Sidney and Aiden to see the world outside of Utica, NY.
My name is Dalila. I'm originally from Bosnia. I came to Utica in 2000. I'm married with two children. I started working in the Dental Health Center in 2002. I like my job and I like to come every day to work. I enjoy working with the residents and meeting a new group every year.
I was born in Jamaica and raised in Miami, Fl. I have two brothers and two sisters. I am recently married and have two cats. I volunteer at a local animal shelter and enjoy playing sports, cooking, and traveling. I received my dental assistant diploma at Kaplan College in 2012. What I love most about my job is that there is always a challenge and something new to learn. What makes this practice unique is the dedication to providing the best dental care to our patients and our amazing staff that does everything to ensure that the patient is comfortable, and leaves with a good experience each and every time. I enjoy getting to know our patients because everyone is different and has a unique story to tell. After a day at work, I love leaving with the satisfaction that I have helped people become a little healthier.

My name is Sabina. I was born in Uzbekistan and moved to Russia at age of ten. From Russia I moved to USA as a refugee in 2005. I am trilingual and speak Russian, Turkish, and English. I started coming to Faxton St. Luke's Dental Healthcare as a Russian interpreter in 2006. I really enjoyed the staff and atmosphere there and later started working there as an assistant in 2009.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I like to go to gym, watch movies, go fishing, and spend time on the beach.
Dental Sterilization Technician
My name is Alice. I began working with the Dental Health Center in 2006 as a Dental Assistant but now I am the Sterilization Technician for the office. Originally from NJ, I moved to Central NY and have found a new family with my team at the Dental Health Center. I am married with two children. I love coming to work everyday and take a lot of pride in my performance as I make an essential contribution to our office. I am grateful to have a job with a team of kind and caring people who I feel do a wonderful job and treat every patient with individual respect. Our office is extremely friendly and focused on patient care and we are constantly striving to be better. Team work is very evident here and it shows in our performance everyday.
