Damali Adu, MD, has joined MVHS as a hospitalist at the St. Luke’s Campus.
Prior to this position, Dr. Adu was an internist at Walter P. Reuther Psychiatric Hospital in Westland, Michigan, where she was responsible for the managemenet of acute and chronic medical conditions of geriatric, psychiatric patients.
Dr. Adu completed a two year fellowship in Nephrology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York. During her time as a fellow, responsibilities included patient care, giving education conferences, the education of medical students, residents, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Dr. Adu completed her residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Adu received her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Arts in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
