Eric Porritt, DO, has joined the MVHS Orthopedic Group and has privileges at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare and the St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Prior to joining the MVHS Medical Group, Dr. Porritt practiced in the Denver, Colorado region where he specialized in trauma and joint reconstruction of the hip and knee.
Dr. Porritt received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Oklahoma and completed medical school at Touro University-COM in California. He completed residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at St. James Hospital/Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Following training he served on active duty in the Army stationed at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany as part of the Trauma team. He deployed to Afghanistan as part of the 160th Forward Surgical Team in support of Special Forces Operations. After his military service he relocated to a trauma facility in Colorado.
Dr. Porritt performs the entire scope of general orthopedics in adults with an emphasis on fracture care and joint replacement. He specializes in the novel hip replacement technique SuperPATH, a tissue sparing fast-recovery hip replacement that can be performed as a same day procedure on most patients. Dr. Porritt is a patient-experience centered provider focused on providing evidence-based standard of care medicine in a manner that emphasizes patient satisfaction.
