A Grateful Patient

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to staff on ambulatory surgery and the OR/PACU. Barb Shepard, RN was the nurse doing my intake and was wonderful. She had a nice calming presence, for a slightly nervous pre-op patient. I unfortunately don't remember all of the staff's names, but from the gentleman who brought me downstairs to the nurses that were in the holding area, OR and PACU they were all very personable and very knowledgeable. Dr. Boyle and Beattie and Jonathan the nurse anesthetist (from the brief interactions I had with them while awake) were also very professional and thoroughly explained their roles. When I arrived back upstairs in ambulatory prior to going home, the two care attendants were very helpful and were very quick to help me to the bathroom and bring me my request for something to eat and drink. Joe was one of them and I didn't get the other's name, but she was just as memorable. I also had the pleasure of meeting a different RN, Rebecca McCauley, she was just as wonderful prior to my discharge. I just wanted to let you know I had a great experience that day. I know that often people aren't recognized for doing something well, so I wanted to share my appreciation, for a job well done, for all the staff I interacted with that day.

A grateful patient
