Extraordinary nursing care is recognized through the Daisy Award, but just as the daisy cannot bloom without the support of the bee, nurses cannot do their best work without the outstanding teamwork provided by other healthcare professionals. The BEE (Be Extraordinary Everyday) Award recognizes team members outside of nursing for going above and beyond to care for patients, visitors and each other.
The BEE Award is open to all non-nursing employees at Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), including pharmacists, physical therapists, housekeepers and more. The award honors those who exemplify the values of accountability, respect, teamwork, kindness and safety. Nominations can be made by any patient, visitor or employee.
