How many residents will be accepted per class?
At full complement, our program will have 3 categorical residents per class and 3 preliminary PGY1s.
Will PGY2 or higher residents be accepted during the initial buildup?
We will only be accepting PGY1 residents each year while we build our program.
What is the accreditation status of the program?
Initial accreditation through the ACGME.
Will residents be able to moonlight?
At this time, the program will not allow moonlighting at any PGY level.
Do you provide housing?
While we do not provide housing for our residents, we do have a list of commonly rented apartments in the area by our current and past residents, accessible, under “Area Attractions and Housing”
Are there any medical school affiliations?
Wynn Hospital is an official clinical campus for both Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. As such, students from both campuses spend their 3rd year with us for their cores and are given the options to do their 4th year electives with us. We also share select didactics, OMM workshops, board preparation seminars and have full access to their IRB.
