Past Donor Recognition from St. Elizabeth Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital Will Now Live Online

Philanthropic support for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) and its predecessors has played a significant role in providing premier healthcare to our community and region for generations. MVHS is grateful to the individuals, families, foundations, businesses and organizations who chose to invest in healthcare throughout the years in such kind and meaningful ways.

It is this history of giving that led MVHS to think about the thousands of donors who generously supported St. Elizabeth Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital for decades, and it became clear that past recognition needed to live somewhere special. It was also very important to MVHS to carefully and thoughtfully remember its history, while also moving toward the future.

Thanks to support and input by representatives of the two legacy hospitals, MVHS was able to determine a way to remember and honor that generosity, through the creation of a special digital Donor Recognition Gallery Archive. This archive provides a way to still see the recognition and memorials that graced the halls and rooms of the two legacy hospitals.

MVHS has made every effort to include, in this digital archive, all of the donated and memorial items and plaques that were on display in St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the St. Luke’s campus. The survey of these items was conducted between November 2022 and October 2023; the creation of the website followed the survey.

The community is invited to visit the Donor Recognition Gallery Archive by going to: https://donorarchive.mvhealthsystem.org/.

Any donors or family members of someone who was memorialized can reach out to receive the actual plaque by visiting https://form.jotform.com/mvhealthsystem/request-for-donor-memorial-plaque to complete a request form by July 31, 2025. Delta Rubsamen, Gift Inventory coordinator with the MVHS Foundation, will follow up with each request. Delta can also be reached at drubsame@mvhealthsystem.org or 315-624-5718.
