The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Laboratory Services and Pharmacy recently opened in the new MVHS Medical Office Building at 601 State Street in Downtown Utica, adjacent to the Wynn Hospital.
MVHS Laboratory Services
The MVHS Lab offers both clinical and pathology services. The majority of testing takes place at a state of the art laboratory in the Wynn Hospital. MVHS Laboratory is partnered with the Mayo Clinic’s Mayo Medical Laboratories, and offers an extensive selection of laboratory tests and clinical expertise.
Lab services are available for walk-ins or by appointment with online scheduling available through MyChart for MVHS patients. The new location at 601 State Street is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon with convenient parking. MVHS Pharmacy
The MVHS Pharmacy offers a comprehensive range of prescription services to MVHS employees and the general public, including regular maintenance medications, mail orders, one-time prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
MVHS Pharmacy is a dually accredited specialty pharmacy, providing a full line of specialty medications for the treatment of complex conditions. The pharmacists at MVHS deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by collaborating with community prescribers and nurses to offer expert comprehensive medication management services. MVHS pharmacists provide personalized care to all patients, assisting with navigating pharmacy benefit plans and helping with prescription transfers to MVHS Pharmacy.
MVHS Pharmacy accepts most insurance plans from major insurance carriers and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The pharmacy is now located in the Medical Office Building at 601 Columbia Street, Suite 103 in Downtown Utica, adjacent to Wynn Hospital.

In October 2023, MVHS opened the Wynn Hospital – a new, state-of-the art, 373 bed hospital in downtown Utica. The Wynn Hospital replaces two aging community hospitals, St. Luke’s and St. Elizabeth, and is capable of handling 85-90 percent of all healthcare needs in the community. The Wynn Hospital will strengthen and grow full service cardiac offerings, support the development of a Neurosciences Institute that will include a Neurovascular Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, will be a world class diagnostic center, including Interventional Radiology and Advanced Endoscopy and provides a Level III Trauma Center plus the ability to serve 90,000 emergency visits per year.
