The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Town of Webb Medical Office has opened after closing temporarily for mold mitigation. Testing done by an environmental testing company showed high levels of mold in certain areas of the building.
In order to keep patients and staff safe, the office was temporarily closed while mitigation was completed. The decision to close and perform the mitigation was made after consultation with Infection Control, a Critical Care pulmonologist and MVHS executive leadership.
Patients and staff were redirected to other MVHS medical offices and offered telemedicine options where appropriate.
The building is owned by the Town of Webb and MVHS funded the mitigation.
The Town of Webb Medical Office is located at 114 South Shore Road, Old Forge, and can be reached at 315-369-6619. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
