James Cesare, MD, has joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Breast Care Center.

Prior to joining MVHS, Dr. Cesare was a physician and director of the Breast Care Center at Slocum Dickson Medical Group for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Cesare earned his medical degree at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his internship and residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Cesare is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons.

Angelina Nitto, MD, has joined MVHS at the Sister Rose Vincent Family Medicine Center and is a faculty member for the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Nitto earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, and completed her residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica, New York. Dr. Nitto is board certified in Family Medicine.

Sampath Subramaniam, MBBS

Sampath Subramaniam, MBBS, has joined MVHS as a surgeon at the MVHS Surgical Group.

Dr. Subramaniam earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He completed his internship at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai, India, and his surgical residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Subramaniam also completed a fellowship in Minimally-Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Subramaniam is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Saraya Bakhsh, PA

Saraya Bakhsh, PA, has joined MVHS as a physician assistant at the MVHS Waterville Medical Office.

Bakhsh earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.

Bakhsh is a member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
