Dr. Max is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Eastern Vascular Society, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, serves as a New York State Cancer Liaison for FSLH, and was named one of the outstanding surgeons in the United States for eight years.
Prior to joining the MVHS Medical Group, Dr. Max was in private practice for 30 years.
Dr. Max received his medical degree from University of the Northeast/School of Medicine in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He completed an internship and residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, fellowships at the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory in Utica, New York, Joslin Clinic and Research Laboratory in Boston, Massachusetts, and at Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
