Karna Sura, MD, has joined the MVHS Cancer Center as a radiation oncologist. He also serves as clinical assistant professor of Radiation Oncology at SUNY Upstate Cancer Center.
After receiving his undergraduate degree at Drexel University, Dr. Sura earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sura completed his
internship and radiation oncology residency training at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Sura is published in numerous areas within radiation oncology, including lung cancer and radiation oncology education. He has received multiple awards, including the Young Oncologist
Essay Award from the American Radium Society. His current research interests include cancer education for professionals and patients, as well as patient-related quality of life.
