Prior to joining MVHS, Dr. Yeger-McKeever worked as an orthopedic surgeon in multiple New Jersey medical centers including St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and Morristown Medical Center in Morristown.

Specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Yeger-McKeever has served as the assistant team physician for Baltimore Ravens Football, Baltimore Blast Professional Soccer, Washington Nationals Major League Baseball and university sports programs including Morgan State, Goucher, Loyola and Johns Hopkins. She has also served as ringside physician for the Silver Gloves amateur boxing meet in Utica and as a ringside physician for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) professional wrestling, as well as providing medical coverage during the annual Boilermaker 15K Road Race.
Meira Yeger-McKeever, MD, received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. She completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
