Onama Tanner-Collins, FNP, has joined the Children’s Health Center and has admitting privileges at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare.
Tanner-Collins has been employed as a charge nurse, staff nurse and certified cardiac care nurse with MVHS at the St. Elizabeth Campus in Utica, New York, since 2004. Prior to joining MVHS, she worked as a Disease Management nurse at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in Utica. Tanner-Collins also worked as a Long-Term Care nurse manager and educator at local nursing homes in Utica. She also worked with the Early Intervention Program and Clinical Services with the Oneida County Health Department.
Tanner-Collins received her Associate of Science in Nursing from the St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, in Utica. She also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York. Tanner-Collins continued on to receive her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute in Marcy.
