Waleed Albert, MD is an infectious disease specialist.  

Dr. Albert previously held the position of chief medical officer at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, New York. He also held positions as an Infection Prevention officer and attending physician of Infectious Diseases for Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare and as an attending physician of Infectious Diseases for St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, New York.

Dr. Albert earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in Damascus, Syria. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals in Trenton, New Jersey, and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Albany Medical College and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, both in Albany, New York.

 

Dr. Albert is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Physicians Executives.
